1. PLANT 3D: Photo Landscaping Module.

Allows Landscapers and Homeowners to view a "just-like-a-photo" finish of their anticipated landscape design. No more having to imagine what the final result will look like.

  1. Begin by taking a picture of your house. You can use either a digital camera or scan in your photo.
  2. Remove unwanted items from the area.
  3. Plant trees, shrubs, grass, flowers. Add items like pools, lights, fences & fountains. You are never limited in your object selection.
  4. Turn on the Night View feature to see your garden at night.
  5. Print out your design.
  6. Use the Shopping Feature to know what your project is costing.

System Requirements

Innovative Thinking Software is created with the user in mind. We have therefore made the requirements such as are readily available to most computer owners.

Minimum hardware requirements:

Shipping is by insured post in South Africa within 72 hours of receiving order.

Occasionally, shipments are late, damaged or we simply cannot keep up with demand. If we are out of stock at this office programs will be shipped directly from Head Office.

Warranty:
GrowIt Gold Works CD's are guaranteed for a period of 3 months. Replacement copies will be supplied if discs are found to be damaged or faulty within that time. Being copyable media, GrowIt is not offered as trial ware and is not returnable for this reason. Please feel free to ask for any details before purchasing.

1. Can the modules be purchased separately?
No, GrowIt Gold Works is one complete package that includes all of the 6 modules and extra features as shown on the website.

2. Can GrowIt be purchased in retail stores?
No, Green By Nature has the distribution rights for South Africa.

3. Are shipping and handling included in the price?
Yes. Technical support is also free for 1 year.

4. How do I insert my own pictures into the program?
You can either scan a picture (the help file helps with size, etc.) use a disc or digital camera. Since GrowIt is compatible to most paint programs you still have the option to lighten or darken your pictures.

5. What does the extra user licenses mean on your order form.
An extra user license is purchased by schools and larger businesses who have more than one computer. Each extra user license allows for installing GrowIt in another computer at the school or business site.

6. Does the program have plants suitable for where I live?
GrowIt's Plant Database is considered a global database and contains plants from tropical to cool weather range. All the field captions in the plant database can be changed to what best suits your area. EX. Climate range can be changed to Zones.

Botanical name can be changed to Latin Name if so desired. Any of the information contained in the plant record can be changed or modified for your uses. You can create your own database and assign its own icon to it.

You can insert your own key words into the record and then use those words to search the database with.

EX: If you wanted to know what plants are good for drought conditions you could put the word drought into the plant record. Then when you search the database you can use the word drought and all plants you have designated good for drought will then compile into their own database.

7. Does the program have plants native to my area?
GrowIt's database is large so you are sure to find some plants native to your area. But if you find the selection limited you can add your own plants, photos, and information to better meet your individual needs.

8. Can GrowIt be used in all Windows?
Yes. Win95, Win98, Win98ME, Win2000 or WinXP. Please see full computer requirements and warranty above. GrowIt is not available for Macs - sorry.

9. Can I use the plants from an encyclopedia I already own?
GrowIt allows for importing in 29 different file formats, so most other program records can be moved to the GrowIt database. The file formats for importing graphics are: ART - BMP - CUT - CUR - DIB - EMF - GEM - GIF - HRZ - ICO - IFF - IMG - JPG - LBM - MAC - MSP - PBM - PCX - PGM - PIC - PNG - PNM - PPM - RAS - RLE - TGA - TIF - WMF - WPG.

10. How do I scale the size of buildings, etc in the program?
You insert the measurements of your landscape or garden plan and the program will put a border around the area you have stated. Grids and rulers help you define accurate measurements. Plants can be resized using your mouse to keep correct perspective. V10 includes a Wizard to assist in your layout.

11. Can I add rocks, picket fence, pond, etc into the plan?
Yes, you can add anything you have a photo of and/or select from a photo an object to use in your landscape. You can also remove any unwanted objects from the photo.

12. Does ChargeIt support bar codes?
No, sorry... it doesn't.

13. When are new versions released and how much do they cost?
GrowIt is kept up to date with Windows systems. New versions are released approx. every 2 years. The cost to upgrade is approx. half the price of the new cost. Owners of previous versions can upgrade to the newest version at any time. Upgrades are sent complete as you would receive if buying new and there is no requirement to send back previous version.

14. I am buying the program as a gift, can you ship directly to them?
Yes, let us know the alternate shipping address and we will gift wrap and send a card in your name.

15. Is Technical Support Free?
Yes, Technical support is provided directly from the programmer, is free and available for a year.
