We also specialise in Putting Greens which is becoming an exciting outdoor activity for many enthusiasts and allows us the joy of bringing fun activities into your garden. Our Vision and Mission.
Green By Nature’s vision is to be well known for its delivery of a wide range of unique landscape solutions to meet the specific requirements of the client interested in investing in their properties. It is also committed to the development of the Green Industry as a whole through participation in the relevant regulatory authorities and to the development and growth of its employees and fellow landscapers.
Background to Green By Nature and National Awards.
Green By Nature Garden Design was formed in 2004. The need for a high level of professional in house service delivery to meet a variety of Garden Design and Landscaping needs, was identified as a key differentiation that Green By Nature has as its core capability. This is enforced by the fact that its members have other professions to support the wide variety of needs in effectively delivering a full set of Landscaping solutions to the client .
Green By Nature members and designers built the 2006 winning show garden at Lifestyle Nursery. Its member David headed up the installation of Garden 1 – “Imprism Your Imagination” which won overall show garden in the competition. The design and unique attributes not seen before in design show gardens.

- 2005 - Gold Plus Award (Platinum equivalent)
- 2006 - Gold
- 2007 - Gold and Overall Stand Winner Awards
- 2008 - Platinum and overall winner for medium sized gardens
Green By Nature also had a show garden at the 2006 Garden World Nursery, where the best water feature was awarded and a gold certificate obtained. The garden, to the value of R175,000 was given away as a prize in conjunction with The Gardener magazine. Green By Nature won a Silver at the 2007 Garden World show gardens. At the 2008 Garden World Spring Festival we won Platinum and Best Water Wise Garden on show.
Green By Nature received two Gold Awards of excellence from SALI in 2007 for its two entries submitted. In 2008 Green By Nature received a silver award. The Lifestyle Garden Design Awards for 2008 awarded Green By Nature one gold and one silver award for work submitted.
Green By Nature receives significant exposure in the relevant gardening magazines as all of our gardens are designed with one of many things in mind, uniqueness. These include Garden and Home, The Gardener, The Habitat and Woman and Home Magazines.
Green By Nature is also a reseller of a top quality garden design software package and believes in the advancement of the garden design profession through the use of IT software. GBN’s members provide regular training and update sessions in conjunction with Lifestyle college.
Members and Team Leaders
Member and Designer - David Spagnolo:
David previously owned “David Spagnolo Garden Designs” which obtained a Gold medal in the 
2004 Gardenex. David has been designing gardens for over 6 years and worked closely with the Lifestyle Garden Design Association as an accredited landscaper.
David qualified as an electrician and has other technical skills which are used in house to add to the services provided.
He is a lecturer at the Lifestyle college and specializes in water features and hardscapes.
David has the internationally renowned CITY AND GUILDS qualification in Garden Design.
Operations Managers
Our sites are very closely monitored by our operational managers to ensure a high quality service.
Genio, Werner, Nico and Nathan (See them under Contact us Page) provide hands on operations management in Landscaping projects.
Our managers are all experienced in managing the installation of all aspects of the landscape from irrigation to swimming pools. Each manager is responsible for a the team which will include builders, water feature specialists, irrigation specialists and decking specialists, all employed by Green By Nature. They are experienced in managing a broad range of services.
